Cheiro Verde Book
Leiliane Valadares describes herself as a cook-in-training since childhood. She is also a writer, food content creator, food photographer, and food stylist, working both in Brazil and in the UK. Cheiro Verde is her first book and is a heartfelt tribute to the homemade recipes of her grandmothers.
The design features elements of recipe books and diaries, as the author tells her story through the memories and recipes of her
family. The chapter dividers are inspired by the patterns of Minas Gerais weaving patterns. The typography evokes craftsmanship, manual work, and small notes in recipe notebooks. The color palette is light, joyful, and diverse, much like the ingredients in the recipes.
The aim is for the reader to feel the warmth of an environment full of care, intuition, and deep traditions.
